The e-ROSA project seeks to build a shared vision of a future sustainable e-infrastructure for research and education in agriculture in order to promote Open Science in this field and as such contribute to addressing related societal challenges. In order to achieve this goal, e-ROSA’s first objective is to bring together the relevant scientific communities and stakeholders and engage them in the process of coelaboration of an ambitious, practical roadmap that provides the basis for the design and implementation of such an e-infrastructure in the years to come.

Agriculture internet of things.(IoT) has changed the way agriculture is produced and administrated. By using the technology, agricultural production efficiency is improved and agricultural food safety is ensured. However, technology by itself is difficult to be accepted by market. The economic value of a technology is to be commercialized in some ways via business model. Drawing on the business model theory, this study takes a company of agriculture IoT as a case study to explore business model for agriculture IoT. The study discovers the technology and market principles of Agriculture IoT business model, which is the key to successful business model for Agriculture IoT. Moreover, this paper reveals the operational mechanism of business model components. The conclusion of study is significant reference value for agriculture IoT commercialization and development of agriculture IoT companies in china.
