e-infrastructure Roadmap for Open Science in Agriculture

A bibliometric study

The e-ROSA project seeks to build a shared vision of a future sustainable e-infrastructure for research and education in agriculture in order to promote Open Science in this field and as such contribute to addressing related societal challenges. In order to achieve this goal, e-ROSA’s first objective is to bring together the relevant scientific communities and stakeholders and engage them in the process of coelaboration of an ambitious, practical roadmap that provides the basis for the design and implementation of such an e-infrastructure in the years to come.

This website highlights the results of a bibliometric analysis conducted at a global scale in order to identify key scientists and associated research performing organisations (e.g. public research institutes, universities, Research & Development departments of private companies) that work in the field of agricultural data sources and services. Title

Cyber extension communication : A strategic model for agricultural and rural transformation in Nigeria

en
Abstract

The cyber extension system focuses the overall development of the farms including production, management, marketing and other rural developmental activities, thus conceptualizing an extension communication model and defining anything that can be fit into this model, as cyber communication was felt necessary to explain the framework for the study of internet communication. The Cyber Extension Communication model centers around information received by farm owners from different sources and the same can also be simplified by easy to follow text and audio-visual illustrations in local languages and can be displayed on bulletin board at kiosks. In Cyber Extension Communication model, the information transmission from the source to community information centers will be under public domain, while from community information centers to farmers the information is available under private domain. The potential advantages of Cyber Extension Communication are continuously available, information rich, instant international reach, receiver-oriented approach, individualism and saves money, time and efforts.
